TPD Named 6th Best Place To Work In PA

The Team Pennsylvania Foundation, along with PA
Department of Community and Economic Development, PA
Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Central
Penn Business Journal, ranked TPD the
# 6 Best Place To Work In PA
in the medium sized firms category (those under 500
employees) among all types of organizations in PA.
This is TPD’s 6th consecutive year as a Top
15 Best Place to Work in PA, and TPD is the highest
ranked engineering firm in the state. |

TPD Part of Award-Winning Land Development and
Revitalization Project Teams

In recognition of outstanding enhancement projects,
Montgomery County, PA honors developers,
consultants, organizations, and municipalities
during their annual Montgomery Awards program. TPD
is proud to have been part of a winning project team
in both the Revitalization and Land Development
award categories. For the Pottstown Pedestrian
Underpass and College Building Adaptive Reuse
project in Pottstown Borough, TPD completed
Construction Management and Inspection services. TPD
provided Transportation Planning, and Highway
Occupancy Permit (HOP), Traffic Signal, and
Structures Design services for the CVS Pharmacy and
Audubon Inn project located at the intersection of
Egypt Rd. and Park/Pawlings Rd. in Lower Providence
Township. |

The Professional Engineers in Private Practice (PEPP),
part of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional
Engineers (PSPE), selected TPD as this year’s
Professional Development Award Winner.
The PEPP Professional Development Award is presented
to employers who exhibit exceptional career
development initiatives and employment practices
that advance the engineering profession. |

TPD Presents at PSATS Convention

Chad Dixson, AICP, presented Transportation
Impact Fees: A Handbook For PA Local Governments
at the Pennsylvania State Association of Township
Supervisors (PSATS) annual convention in Hershey, PA. |

TPD Wins ASHE Delaware Valley Section Project of the
Year & PSAB Road & Bridge Safety Improvement Award

The American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE)
Delaware Valley Section and The Pennsylvania State
Association of Boroughs (PSAB) selected Pottstown
Borough’s Pedestrian Underpass project to receive
the Project of the Year Award and Road &
Bridge Safety Improvement Award, respectively,
for which TPD served as the construction management
and inspection agency. This project linked High
Street and College Drive by converting the Norfolk
Southern Railroad overpass into a pedestrian walkway
in order to provide a safe passage for Montgomery
County Community College’s West Campus students and
Borough residents. |

TPD Takes A Bus Trip To Big Boulder Ski Area

As part of TPD’s efforts to provide exceptional
staff benefits, TPD sponsored a bus trip to Big
Boulder Ski Area’s Mardi Gras Celebration for staff,
including co-ops, and their families and friends.
Participants spent the day skiing, snowboarding,
tubing, hanging out in the lodge, or some
combination of all these activities. |
TPD Part of Award-Winning Station Square Project Team

Station Square Apartment Homes & Shops earned a Land Development
Award from Montgomery County, PA for the successful
transformation of a former brownfield site into a mixed-use
Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). TPD successfully completed
the transportation planning, roadway design, and traffic signal
design to unify the new development with the existing
infrastructure. In addition to coordination with Lansdale
Borough and Upper Gwynedd Township, TPD also worked hand-in-hand
during the approval process with PennDOT, SEPTA, and the
Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission (PUC).
