CAD Designers
Highway & Traffic Signal Design

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. (TPD) is an 135-member firm specializing in transportation engineering, including highway design, bridge design, and transportation planning. TPD has offices in Pottstown (PA), Harrisburg (PA), and the Lehigh Valley (PA). Our clients include state (PennDOT), municipal (county, township, etc.), and private (Wawa, Lowe's, McDonalds, etc.) clients throughout PA, NJ, DE, MD, and VA. TPD seeks CAD Designers for our Traffic Signal and Highway Design Teams. Successful candidates will be paired with a CAD Mentor, typically a full-time designer with 2 to 5 years experience, who will be responsible for the individual's training and coordination of daily activities. TPD expects a serious commitment from staff members and returns that commitment by providing a flexible, relaxed work environment in which each person can develop her/his abilities to their fullest extent while balancing professional growth with personal commitments.

Description Of CAD Responsibilities
Perform entry level or intermediate CAD activities associated with the submission of Traffic Signal Permit Plans and/or Highway Design Plans. Required tasks may include:

- Perform CAD revisions to all types of plans prepared by TPD's Signal and Highway Design Teams
- Preparation of all plans for traffic signal permits, including: Title Sheet, Tab Sheets, Signal Permit Plan, Signal Construction Plan, Closed Loop Diagrams, etc.
- Preparation of all plans necessary to complete Highway Design projects, including: Construction Plans, Profiles, Pavement Marking Plans, Traffic Control Plans, etc.

Qualifications
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation. MicroStation is preferable but not required.
- An interest in traffic signal and/or highway design projects. TPD will provide specific training.
