For an unprecedented third consecutive term, TPD has been selected as the Prime Consultant to PennDOT on a $1 million contract to provide Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP) review assistance to the District. Along with our subconsultant, TPD has reviewed applications from private development and municipalities for access to and improvement of state and public roadways throughout PennDOT District 6-0 and District 8-0. The HOP application reviews apply to minimum-use driveways; low, medium, and high volume accesses; and local roads that will be accessing a state roadway. On average, the TPD Team completes reviews within four to eight business days. To date, TPD has been responsible for the successful completion of over 2,500 review assignments over the two consecutive contracts, and we maintain a 100% on-time completion record. At the Departments request, the TPD Team has also provided qualified technical and clerical personnel to the District on short order to assist the Traffic Unit on a full-time basis. The PennDOT jurisdictional area encompassed in this contract includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties (District 6-0) and Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Perry and York Counties (District 8-0).
