Pottstown, Pennsylvania
February 4, 2001
Traffic Planning
and Design, Inc. (TPD) is pleased to announce the forthcoming opening
of an expanded headquarters in Pottstown to better serve their clients
and the transportation needs of the Tri-County region.
TPD continues to
establish a presence in the Pottstown community. Currently over 25 percent
of the firm's full-time staff reside in Pottstown and the surrounding
municipalities. As TPD continues to grow, the firm will become even more
involved with the communities we serve.
TPD specializes exclusively
in transportation engineering and design, as well as related environmental
studies for state (DOT), municipal and private clients. TPD focuses on
providing the highest quality traffic engineering, roadway / traffic signal
design and environmental services in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland
and Delaware.
TPD continues to expand
its professional services and service area. The continued development
of TPD's excellent technical staff and the aggressive recruitment of motivated
and dedicated individuals will make these improvements possible.
Formed in 1989, TPD
opened for business in a remodeled three-story colonial house in Oaks,
Pennsylvania. For the first five years of operation, the company maintained
a steady workload and staffing level and showed very limited growth.
In 1995, TPD evaluated
its situation, and mapped out a course of action for future growth. At
that time, the company dedicated its efforts toward continuous quality
improvement, aggressive professional development of all staff members,
and the establishment of long-term relationships with state (DOT), municipal,
and private clients.
Since then, TPD has
grown to 67 employees and has opened an office in Rising Sun, Maryland
with offices in Harrisburg and the Lehigh Valley currently under construction.
The firm has also greatly expanded its professional services to include
Environmental capabilities.
TPD's services constitute
part of a responsible approach toward development, which is vital to a
region's economic growth, while improving the quality of life for local
residents.

our ability to manage projects and obtain project approvals in a timely
and cost-efficient manner.
